According to our records, you have been offered federal student loans in your 2023-2024 Financial Aid Offer. Students may ACCEPT, DECLINE, or REDUCE your loans offered. THIS IS NOT A PROMISSORY NOTE. This is to notify the Financial Aid Office the type and loan amounts you accept to borrow and your loans will be processed accordingly.

If you are enrolling for Spring semester ONLY, you may borrow your full loan eligibility for one semester. However, keep in mind, for the following academic year, your full loan eligibility will be split between two semesters.

LOAN ENTRANCE COUNSELING & MASTER PROMISSORY NOTE (MPN) REQUIREMENTS

Complete the following at studentaid.gov to ensure your student loan funds disburse to your student account. Once completed, CCAD will receive a notice automatically. These steps are NOT necessary for current students who have had a prior federal student loan at CCAD.

Complete Loan Entrance Counseling – This requirement is for all first-time student loan borrowers, to ensure you understand your rights and responsibilities as a student loan borrower.
Complete Master Promissory Note – This is the legal document where you promise to repay your loan(s) and any accrued interest to the U.S. Department of Education. It also explains the terms and conditions of your loan(s).
